The diligence item that actually matters here isn't the reactor design, it's the NRC licensing timeline Valar is underwriting internally -- ask for it explicitly, because every SMR company's public roadmap has historically slipped against regulatory reality, not manufacturing reality. $6B pre-revenue is a venture bet on a 2030s outcome; the comparable I'd pull is Oklo's own public-market valuation swings since its SPAC listing, because that's the closest thing to real-time pricing this category has for how patient capital actually is with nuclear timelines.
